Linear - platform for bino-scopes BB - 131

To reachable a "bino-scope" you have two possibilities: you adjust the interocular distance with optical elements or you change the distance of the both telescope tubes. If you will get the maximum optical power, the best way is to use the EMS elements form Matsumoto) and adjustable telescope tubes.

The BB-131 unit

The bino-platform BB-131 is made for smaller refractors about 3 - 5" and up to approx. 5 kg tube weight each. The unit offer adjustable distance of the both tubes between about 120 mm to 165 mm (4,5" to 6,5"). This solution will works best with smaller EMS UMA/B or UL for 1.25" and/or 2" eyepieces and can adjust to find parallel position of the both tubes. To make the mechanical structure as rigid as possible, we use high precision ball cage linear-bearing's from Agathon to realize best linear adjustability.

the bino-platform BB-131 with adjusting screw for right-handers
A feature of the new version is the side adjustment screw that allows for easier operation. The platform can be configured for both right- and left-handed users. In addition, the platform can also be used on a cradle-style mount.

An important point is to keep both tubes parallel otherwise you get a double image. The adjustability of the distance of both tubes (interocular distance) is with a easy to use hand-wheel at side. The platform works perfect with Borg 72FL, 90FL or 107FL tubes or similar telescopes of coarse.
