Double telescope Jscope (Kubota Optical) Achromat 80/560
With the optics manufactured in Japan, a powerful and inexpensive double telescope can be put together.
It would be a shame not to use it..
The 80/560 mm double telescope with the BB-131 base
The centerpiece is an achromatic optic manufactured with great care at
Kubota Optical, Hanamaki-City
in Japan. With an aperture of 80 mm and a focal length of 560 mm, this optic achieves a very high contrast with only
faintly visible chromatic aberration. The fine polishing therefore also allows an imaging performance in DeepSky as a
double telescope that you will hardly expect.

The design of this doublescope is based on an adjustable
BB-131 bino platform which allows the tubes to be moved exactly
parallel. The high contrast of the fine polish optics combined with the special coating of the EMS
reflection coating results
in a respectable performance that cannot be achieved by any large-field telescope. This enables DeepSky to achieve
the performance of much larger and, above all, more expensive individual telescopes

Both optics are finely focusable with a focuser with 1 to 10 reduction. Both optics can be quickly adjusted to your own
eyes - the prerequisite for really being able to utilize the enormous performance advantage.

The fact is that nobody really has a parallel eye position and it is not even stable. It is the brain that does the
major work of combining the information from both eyes into one image. If you take a large part of the work away
from the brain, it can put all its power into "image processing", which, practically speaking, leads to many more fine
contrast levels in the image. In other words, you don't just see a nebula, you see this "nebula" as a structure with
many details.

With this double telescope, it has been possible to create a reasonably inexpensive and yet surprisingly high-quality
device. The components come from Japan, Taiwan and Switzerland, 100%.
The double telescope is ideal for use on an
AYO mount. The fact that you have to magnify much less with such a device allows
a very relaxed way of observing. For example, globular eclipses can be resolved well from around 50x. This also helps to
observe faint galaxies beautifully.
