A mount that carries telescopes that can be precisely adjusted in distance and can be cleanly adjusted to any
target even at high magnifications.
|
A mount created for a double telescope that is directly integrated to form a compact and intuitive unit. You
will probably never forget the first look through this powerful telescope system, but perceive the ease of use
as natural as if you had always done it that way..
The latest development for the construction and use of an optically high-quality double telescope combined with
the easy use of an AYO mount and a total weight of just 4 kilograms including tube clamps, binocular carrier and
tripod base but without optics. The adjustable binocular carrier base is already integrated in the height axis.
This serves to adjust the two tubes in parallel laterally and to adapt the telescopes to the interpupillary
distance without having to accept an optical deterioration.
|
At the heart of the BM-100 binomount is the adjustment device built into the elevation axis to adjust the distance
between the two tubes to match the interpupillary distance. This, together with the excellent
EMS units, makes it possible to achieve the best possible
optical performance that no large binoculars can match, no matter how tempting the price.
For this purpose, three high-precision ball bushings from
Agathon are installed, which provide the
necessary accuracy and rigidity. Once aligned, the two tubes remain stable to each other, yet the interpupillary
distance can be adjusted over a wide range by adjusting the distance between the tubes. Further, the special tube
clamps are part of the mount and include the alignment function to align the tubes to your own eyes. This is the
only way to really use the full power of such a telescope.
Adjusting the optics to one's own interpupillary distance is done via an easy-to-grip dial on the top edge of the
housing and allows the distance to be set quickly.

Note:
The BM-100 unit is designed to work primarily with Borg tubes or similar. Tube clamps for 80 mm tubes and also
115 mm tubes are available. The complete unit including optics can be supplied as well as individual components.
The necessary optics can be purchased directly from
Hutech, the EMS unit from
Matsumoto in Japan. We will gladly provide you with
a list of the parts you need.

The BM-100 offers the possibility to mount a standard finder shoe at several locations. A smartphone holder can then be mounted
on it, for example, which shows the target area via a star chart programme and functions as an electronic search aid. A simple
and inexpensive way instead of a DSC.
Due to the compact design of the entire double telescope, it is set up very quickly and can be used immediately and put away just
as quickly. This makes observing very relaxed and you can also take it with you on astro excursions, e.g. to the mountains where it is darker.
